Admissions Notice 2025-26

General Policy

1. VIDYA NIKETAN - a luminous bright name among the English Medium Schools of Kolkata.The Institution aspires to prepare our young ones to be tomorrow's citizens, well equipped morally, intellectually, culturally and physically to play their respective roles both in individual and collective lives. The school laid its foundation stone on 6th May, 1996 at Bansdroni, Kolkata, the efficient administration of the school authority, the active co-operation of the parents and all well-wishers helped the school to traverse smoothly towards its path of success. The school is run by Awadh Narayan Welfare Trust registered under Trust Rule.
2. Admission procedure is conducted by the Principal with the help of the Academic Committee of the School. No other person in the school or outside has any hand in the selection of candidates for admission to the school.
3. The school does not accept donations for admission. Be careful of those known and unknown people who pose to be intermediaries in the admission process. Do not pay any money to them. Please avoid any third party that may approach you in connection with admission nor should you approach any third party for admission.
4. The final selection is based on an interaction and verification conducted by the Principal in the presence of the members of the Managing Committee of the School and other invitee.
5. Neither the child nor the parents need any special training for the interaction at the admission process.
6. Those interested in seeking admission are requested to go through the details of the school at website and apply only if you are satisfied with the system of education imparted at VIDYA NIKETAN. Ten to fifteen percent annual increase in the tuition fee or any other fee is normal.
7. Admission in class XI before the publication of result of ICSE 2025 is strictly provisional. Admission will be regularized after submission of Statement of Marks and Pass certificate.

New session will start from April 2025.

Admission:

1. Pre-NURSERY to Class IX & XI (Science, Commerce & Humanities) APPLICATION FORM: The Application Form is available at the school website as well as in the school office. The cost of admission form is Rs. 400/-

3. Photocopies of the Documents to be submitted along with the Application Form. (Please bring all the original documents for verification.)
  • Application Form duly filled in with a recent passport-size photograph affixed on the Form.
  • Birth Certificate: Birth Registration Certificate with the Municipality / Panchayat.
  • Proof of Residential Address. (Self-attested)
  • Proof of Income. (Self-attested)
  • Aadhar Card of child (Optional) and parent (Compulsory & Self attested)
  • Transfer certificate from the school last attended. (Applicable for Class I onwards)
  • Statement of Marks from the school last attended. (Applicable for Class I onwards)
  • Result of Class IX (Applicable for admission in Class XI only for other school)

4. Subjects available for class XI (Science, Commerce & Humanities)

Important Note:

The responsibility for the correct selection of subject to meet the university or professional requirement of candidates will be that of the candidates and parents / guardian.

Special Note:

Students want to take admission in Class XI can book their seats by depositing an amount of Rs. 5000/- (for same school) or 10000/- (for other school). Vidya Niketan does not guarantee any admission in class XI for its existing students as admission in class XI is a separate process. Seats are subject to availability. Existing students of Class X are notified to contact school office to avoid further complications in future.
