A complete checklist of all documents you need to bring at the time of admission to Vidya Niketan for the 2026–27 session.
Before You Visit
Why Documents Matter
CISCE Compliance
All document requirements are as per CISCE guidelines. Vidya Niketan (Code WB219) follows these mandatorily.
Originals + Photocopies
Always bring both original documents and self-attested photocopies for every item on the checklist.
Avoid Delays
Incomplete documentation will delay or hold admission. Prepare everything in advance for a smooth process.

Identity & Age Proof
For student and parent/guardian
Birth Certificate (Student)
Municipal / Hospital issued. Original + 1 self-attested photocopy required.
Aadhaar Card — Student
Original + self-attested photocopy.
Aadhaar Card — Parent / Guardian
Father's or Mother's Aadhaar. Original + photocopy.
Address Proof
Electricity bill / bank statement / rental agreement (recent, within 3 months).
Academic Records
Previous school performance & transfer
Class Marksheet / Progress Report
Latest available progress report. Not applicable for Pre-Nursery admissions.
Transfer Certificate (TC)
School-issued original transfer certificate.
Character Certificate
Required for lateral entry admissions.
Migration Certificate
Required if transferring from a different Board (e.g., CBSE to CISCE).
Photographs
Recent, colour passport-size
Passport-Size Photographs (Student)
Recent colour photographs. White or light background preferred. Clear face visibility required.
Passport-Size Photographs (Parent/Guardian)
For ID card and school records. Recent, colour.
Photo on Application Form
1 photo affixed on the admission form at the time of submission.
Medical & Other
If applicable or requested by school
Medical Fitness Certificate
Required if specifically advised by the school. Issued by a registered medical practitioner.
Immunisation / Vaccination Record
Bring the child's original vaccination booklet for verification.
Special Needs Documentation
If child requires special support, bring relevant medical / therapy reports.

Helpful Tips
Before You Come to School
Use a Document Folder
Organise all your documents in a clear folder — originals in front, photocopies behind. Label each section for quick access.
Self-Attest Photocopies
Sign each photocopy with your name and "Self-Attested" before visiting. This speeds up the verification desk significantly.
Visit During Office Hours
School office is open Mon–Sat, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Avoid peak hours (10–11 AM) to reduce wait time.
Call Ahead If Unsure
If you have doubts about any specific document, call us at 033-24105808 before visiting. Our team is happy to help.
Keep Digital Copies
Scan or photograph all documents and save them to your phone or email. Useful as backup during the admission process.
