Stage 01

Early Years — Pre-Primary

Pre-Nursery · Nursery · LKG · UKG | Age 2.5 – 5 years

Learning through play, sensory exploration, and creative expression. Our play-way method builds language, early numeracy, social skills, and emotional confidence in a warm, nurturing environment. The foundation of everything begins here.

Primary School

Evaluation Framework

Assessment & Examination Structure

Assessment at Vidya Niketan is continuous, multi-dimensional, and growth-oriented. We assess not just what students know — but how they think, communicate, and apply their learning. Our evaluation framework is aligned with CISCE guidelines while adding school-specific enrichment.

Pre-Primary & Primary (Classes Pre-Nur – V)

Portfolio-based, observation-led assessment. No formal examinations in early years. Progress reported through detailed report cards and PTM conversations.

Middle School (Classes VI – VIII)

Unit tests, half-yearly exams, annual exams, project submissions, and class participation. Internal marks contribute to overall grades.

Secondary — ICSE (Classes IX – X)

Internal assessment (20%) + Board Examination (80%). Includes practicals, project work, oral tests, and written exams as per CISCE norms.

Senior Secondary — ISC (Classes XI – XII)

Internal assessment (30%) + Board Examination (70%). Structured mock exams, practical lab assessment, and project submissions every term.
